Adevărul biologic pe care ni l-a oferit Wells ar încetini o întâlnire cu extratereștrii din Star Trek sau Farscape, unde aventurierii neînfricați își fac rareori griji cu privire la limbile locale, cu atât mai puțin cu privire la respirația aerului local.
